Seliah - What can ARTY do to contribute to sustainability

 Following last week's talk, here are some ideas on what ARTY can do to help contribute to UN's Sustainable Development

1. Encourage buyers to donate unwanted art crafts materials to ARTY. 

    For example, donating used candle jars.

2. Encourage sellers to use recycled materials/ unwanted art crafts that have been donated by buyers to make their product.

    For example, re-using donated candle jars for new candles.

Seliah - Existing Web Applications Like ARTY: West Cork Crafts

 West Cork Crafts (WCC) is another example of an existing Web Application services similar to ARTY. Like CCD, West Cork Crafts also sell local crafts from Cork-based artisans.  https://www.westcorkcrafts.ie/ Features that I liked about WCC: There is a section on the local artisans to introduce themselves. I believe having this section allows for the sellers to express themselves and briefly describe what they do and also allows for both the buyers and the sellers to be closer. See screenshot below for an example. Not only that but each sellers also include the links to their other platforms such as Etsy and Facebook/Facebook Marketplace to further showcase their work. Has a variety of 'Shop By' filters which allows the buyers to customise their shopping experience. Shop by members - perhaps the buyer has a favorite craftsman they want to buy their lcoal crafts from Shop by category - for buyers who knows what they want to buy.
